 Okay then, electric shifters are bound to be far more complex, therefore more things to go wrong and when they do go wrong chances are its going to cost far more to maintain them. I know nothing about them but thats just my impression of them.

 he said $200 more, im guessing that hanley means he already has some money, but once he can add 200 dollars he will have enough to buy some new forks... As for pointlessly upgrading, some people are just brand whores who like shiny things, I would only ever upgrade something on my bike if it was stopping me from having fun, I suppose its different if your racing though
